Rite of Election - Chattanooga and Five Rivers Deaneries

The Rite of Election includes the enrollment of all the catechumens seeking baptism at the coming Easter Vigil. The catechumens publicly express their desire for baptism to the bishop. Their names are recorded in a book and they are called the Elect.

Catechumens from the Chattanooga and Five Rivers Deaneries will celebrate the Rite of Election at the Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus on Feb. 17 at 11 a.m.
